Bridle Track Solar Project

 

The Bridle Track Solar Project provides the potential for up to 300MW of photovoltaic (PV) solar generation to be located immediately adjacent to the Baroota Pumped Hydro Project. This provides the opportunity for a low risk, low cost, dedicated renewable energy power supply to contribute to the Baroota Pumped Hydro Project’s pumping power requirements.

 

Key features of the site include:

• attractive solar irradiation;
• located adjacent to existing 275 kV transmission lines;
• located adjacent to the Baroota Pumped Hydro Project;
• Shares connection infrastructure with the Baroota Pumped Hydro Project saving material costs;
• excellent road access, topography and ground conditions.
